The practice

One industry, learned properly. The work starts from answers, not from a blank page.

Constants

How we work

01The brief
Every engagement starts in the same place: what the company needs the website to do, and for whom. The answer sets the page inventory. The page inventory sets everything after it.
02The structure
Because this is one industry, the structural arguments are already settled. Owner acquisition, rental discovery and resident service are three separate jobs sharing one site, and we know where each one belongs. What changes from company to company is the market, the positioning and the content. That is where the work goes.
03The close
Scope is written down before anything starts. Links, forms and portal routes are opened on real devices while signed out, before launch and again after it. Nothing in the arrangement makes leaving expensive.

The handover

What changes hands at handover

Everything needed to run, move or rebuild the site without us. Ownership transfers on the day it launches, not on request, and nothing is held back.

What does not change

Six principles we do not bend.

  1. 01

The website is a business tool

It exists to win the next owner and to make every other visitor's task shorter. Decoration that serves neither is removed before it ships.

  2. 02

    Nothing invented

No placeholder proof, no borrowed logos, no number we cannot source. Demonstrations are labelled as demonstrations, including the ones on this site.

  3. 03

    You own all of it

Code, content, domain and accounts are handed over with documentation. There is no arrangement here where leaving means losing the site.

  4. 04

    Verified, not assumed

Portal links, forms and integrations are tested on real devices while signed out, before launch and again after it.

  5. 05

    Accessible by default

Keyboard, contrast, zoom and reduced motion are decided during the build. Accessibility is not an audit we schedule afterwards.

  6. 06

    Measured honestly

Owner interest is counted separately from rental traffic, because rental traffic is larger by an order of magnitude and hides the number that matters.

Every time

Standards every site ships with

  • Readable from 320 px to large desktop, with no horizontal scrolling at any width we test

  • WCAG 2.2 AA contrast, visible focus, full keyboard operation and a complete reduced motion state

  • Core Web Vitals inside Google's good thresholds on the production build

  • Forms that validate on the server, name their errors, confirm receipt and survive a repeat submit

  • Titles, descriptions, canonical tags, a sitemap and structured data written per page

  • Handover of the repository, the accounts, a content export and a written access inventory

The process page sets the order of the work and what we need from you at each step.

Start with the brief, not the build.

Tell us what the website has to do and for whom. We will say which starting point we would argue for, what the work involves and what we need from you.
